Brandeis University has settled a lawsuit filed by a donor’s descendant over its plan to raze a science building named for the donor. The university, which says the building is outdated and wants to replace it with a new science center, agreed to name a research laboratory after the original donor, Julius Kalman, The Wall Street Journal reports. Still pending is another lawsuit over donor intent, which seeks to block Brandeis from selling any artworks from its Rose Art Museum.
