Aung San Suu Kyi, the Burmese human-rights activist who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991, will receive the 2011 University of Michigan Wallenberg Medal and will deliver a rare public lecture—by videotape—at the award ceremony next week in Ann Arbor, Mich. Ms. Suu Kyi recorded the lecture in advance because she is concerned that were she to leave Myanmar to attend the ceremony, she might not be permitted to return. Following the lecture, which starts at 7:30 p.m., Eastern time, on Tuesday, Ms. Suu Kyi will hold a live Q&A session.
