In a new audit released on Thursday, the Kansas Board of Regents said that the University of Kansas’ athletic director, Lew Perkins, had received income from a third party that is also a vendor of the athletics department. According to the Associated Press, he had a contract worth $18,000 a year with the company, and he had disclosed the tie on a state form. The audit recommended that Mr. Perkins’s relationship with the vendor be “independently evaluated for appropriateness.”

It is interesting that this is the only thing you pick up on. If you read the entire report, you will find that the Regents were very happy with the audit and found nothing that displeased them in the University’s operations. The vendor question is just that – a question. It is not a point of serious concern. Your reporting is rather poor.
