hlsimmonsKudos or whatever the highest honor you could name it. Dr. Bumphus is well known to me as well as to many others. I knew him when I was Executive Director of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. He will do very well as the CEO of the American Association of Community Colleges. Bravo to the leadership for selecting him!

Go Walter! Congratulations to you and to George. You are the greatest. George’s retirement and your assuming the presidency marks a major milestong for community colleges and AACC. Working with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, next spring, we will publish the history of AACC from 1960 to the present as reported by its past presidents. The timeing of your new presidency shares a series of great contributions by Edmund Gleazer, Dale Pasrnell, David Pierce and George Boggs. George is working with me on his final chapter over the summer. You should certainly be the one to write either the introduction or the Epilogue. We will now figure it out.Good luck and best wishes,Bernard LuskinChair, Emeritus, AACCDirector, Kellogg Community College Leadership Legacy Project
