Adjunct faculty members at Northern Michigan University have voted overwhelmingly to join an existing collective-bargaining unit affiliated with the American Association of University Professors, according to a statement on the AAUP’s Web site. Adjunct faculty members voted, 54 to 5, to join the union, which already represents tenured and tenure-track faculty, the statement said.
