Three out of four Americans believe that access to higher education is a right, according to poll results released on Monday by the Carnegie Corporation of New York. And 46 percent hold those beliefs strongly. In the online poll of 1,000 adults, two-thirds called the cost of college the greatest barrier to access to higher education. Meanwhile, 20 percent said higher education is not a right, and 9 percent felt that way strongly.
