“When you have that many people walk away from a job that they love so dearly, it says something.”
Polina Marinova
The University of Georgia
In this episode, we hear from Polina Marinova, newly reinstated as editor in chief of The Red & Black, the student-run newspaper at the University of Georgia. Ms. Marinova and a group of senior editors quit the paper in protest last week after a nonstudent was given final editorial control of the publication. The paper’s board relented two days later, issuing an apology and saying that editorial control would remain with the paper’s student editor.
