WordPress Plugin Now Available for JotForm

Custom form elements
Looking for a plugin to add form features to your WordPress installation? We’ve written previously about JotForm (here and here), a service which allows you to create forms and link to some collection service, such as Dropbox. Getting those forms on a website was not terribly difficult but took a few extra steps.

But now JotForm has recently announced the availability of a WordPress plugin that streamlines the process. Once you install the plugin (which you can do by downloading it from here and uploading to WordPress or searching for it within your WordPress dashboard) you will see a handy icon on your post editor (as noted here).

To easily add forms to WordPress posts and pages, you first create the form on the JotForm website as usual. Then, in your WordPress post or page click the icon and your list of available forms will show up and you select which one you want. A shortlink will be inserted into your text and you are ready to go!

I’m thrilled to have this plugin ready to go for the upcoming academic year. I tried it out while setting up a webpage for my computer modeling course, which will handle about 15 forms over the course of the semester to collect file uploads from students, and it worked beautifully.

Have you been looking for a form plugin for WordPress? What solutions do you have in place to collect information in forms? Let us know in the comments.
