Resting and Recharging Over Break?

December 7, 2011, 11:00 am

The academic term is drawing to a close, piles of materials to be graded are accumulating, many of us are preparing to attend academic conferences in the next few weeks, and holiday plans are also competing for our attention.

Although a winter “break” is right around the corner, it’s all too easy to let those weeks fill up with professional or personal obligations. Now would be a good time to figure out how you’re going to get some rest–even if it’s just a little–to allow yourself to recharge over the break.

What are your plans for resting and recharging over the break? Please tell us about them in the comments!

Each Wednesday, ProfHacker hosts an open thread discussion. Sometimes a specific topic is announced, and sometimes the discussion is completely open. Please remember to abide by our commenting and community guidelines. Thanks!
