U. of Hawaii Names Sole Finalist for Presidency

June 4, 2009, 3:58 pm

M.R.C. Greenwood, a former provost of the University of California system, is the only finalist in the University of Hawaii’s search for its next president, Hawaii officials said Tuesday.

Ms. Greenwood, a scientist who studies obesity and diabetes, also served as chancellor of the California system’s Santa Cruz campus. She resigned as provost in 2005 after being investigated for her role in two conflicts of interest, which were linked to broader audits of improper executive compensation in the system.
