U. of Calgary Hopes Housing Perks Will Attract New Hires

The University of Calgary is offering up to $100,000 in housing perks to help new faculty members buy homes in the city’s hot real-estate market, the Calgary Herald reports. The administration hopes the generous housing assistance program — which provides interest-free loans and principal forgiveness on mortgages — will give the university a leg up when it comes to recruiting and retaining new faculty members.
