Two Presidents Step Down

Rhode Island College’s president, John Nazarian, has announced that he will retire in June 2008, after 58 years at the college, the last 18 at its helm, The Providence Journal reports.

Billy C. Hawkins, president of Texas College, a historically black institution in Tyler, Tex., announced yesterday that he will leave in December to take the helm of Talladega College, another historically black institution, in Talladega, Ala., the Tyler Morning Telegraph reports.
