Bowling Green State University has appointed Carol A. Cartwright, who has served as interim president of BGSU since last July, as its first female president, the Toledo Free Press reports.
Robert C. Khayat, chancellor of the University of Mississippi, has announced that he’ll retire at the end of June after 14 years on the job, The Clarion-Ledger reports.
West Virginia’s Higher Education Policy Commission voted 7-2 to up Marshall University President Stephen Kopp’s salary by $42,220, The Charleston Gazette reports. According to the newspaper, Kopp’s annual base pay under the new five-year contract is $275,000, and he’s eligible for an annual bonus of $50,000, if money allows. Details of a deferred compensation plan are still being worked out.
