March 12, 2008, 1:44 pm

Judy G. Hample, chancellor of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, will leave her post this summer to become the next president of the University of Mary Washington, in Fredericksburg, Va., the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. She succeeds William J. Frawley, who was fired last April after being charged with driving under the influence.
Cabrini College has tapped Marie Angelella George, executive vice president at Saint Anselm College, in Manchester, N.H., to become the institution’s new president in July, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
The Philadelphia Inquirer also reports that full-time faculty members at the Moore College of Art and Design, in Philadelphia, have voted no confidence in President Happy C. Fernandez. See an item on The Chronicle’s News Blog for more details.
Meanwhile, elsewhere on the News Blog, Andrew Mills writes that the American University of Beirut is expected to announce the appointment of Peter Dorman, chairman of the department of Near Eastern languages & civilizations at the University of Chicago, as its new leader next week.
