Indian Institutes to Recruit Foreign Profs

India’s minister in charge of higher education said last week that he’s open to the idea of India’s prestigious engineering and management institutes recruiting full-time foreign faculty members, Shailaja Neelakantan reports on The Chronicle’s News Blog. Previously, the Indian Institutes of Technology and of Management have hired foreigners only on a part-time or temporary basis, she notes. Read more.
