Funniest thing I have read in a long time. However, you did neglect to take into account the number of professors who call to complain that they shouldn’t have to come to your office, er, kitchen for num nums because they are not getting paid to do so.
Actually, to refine your system, you can pair rivals and play one against the other: Dear Dr. Kitty-Uno, this is to inform you that Dr. Kitty-Due was successful in getting most of the num nums, and he is subsequently receiving several media calls as well as a letter of commendation from his NSF program manager. Too bad you couldn’t participate.
