James H. Mullen Jr., president of Elms College, in Massachusetts, will become president of Allegheny College on August 1, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. He’ll replace Richard J. Cook, who will retire after 12 years on the job.
Tenured and tenure-track faculty members at Michigan Technological University have voted against continued representation by the American Association of University Professors by a margin of 143 to 136, according to a university press release.
