Female Harvard Researcher to Lead Duke Medical School

Duke University has appointed Nancy C. Andrews, a renowned Harvard University physician and researcher, as the first female dean of its medical school, the Associated Press reports. She will also become the sole woman among the leaders of the nation’s Top 10 medical schools. Andrews replaces R. Sanders Williams, who has been promoted to senior vice chancellor for academic affairs, on October 1.
