The secret is out: the Penn State football coach Joe Paterno earned a salary of $512,664 this year, Paul Fain reports on The Chronicle’s News Blog. Of course that figure doesn’t include “other forms of compensation received by most coaches, like money from TV and apparel endorsements,” Fain points out.
