Deans on the Outs

The dean of the medical school at the University of California at San Francisco, Dr. David A. Kessler, says he was sacked from his post last week after inquiring about “financial irregularities,” The Chronicle’s News Blog reports. Meanwhile, Yiping Wan, who returned to Kennesaw State University, in Ga., as a professor after he was removed as education dean in February amid allegations that he stole thousands of dollars from the institution, is stepping down at the end of the year, the Associated Press reports. Read more.
