ASU Prez to Get 25% Raise?

June 19, 2007, 1:00 pm

Arizona State University President Michael Crow may get a whopping pay raise soon, according to an article in the Arizona Republic. The Arizona Board of Regents will decide this week whether to increase Crow’s salary and benefits package to “more than $720,000 a year, a raise of 25 percent, plus a one-time $600,000 bonus if he stays for five years,” reporter Anne Ryman writes. She notes that he “would get an unprecedented five-year contract through 2012,” (three years is the norm) and, possibly, an added bonus of $150,000, if he meets 10 performance goals — which include raising graduation rates, boosting freshman diversity, and improving ASU’s U.S. News & World Report rankings.

Not too shabby.
