Administrative Hiring Bytes

Georgia State University has appointed Mark P. Becker, provost at the University of South Carolina at Columbia, as its next president, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Illinois State University is searching for four deans, the Pantagraph, a daily newspaper in Bloomington, Ill., reports.
Lillian Hatheway, a former administrative assistant in the University of Idaho’s English department is suing the university for age discrimination, the Associated Press reports. Ms. Hatheway, who is 66 years old, claims that the “hostile” work environment drove her to retire early. She’s seeking $10,000 in damages.
