A brother and sister have filed a lawsuit against their Quebec junior college, CEGEP de Lévis-Lauzon, because they failed an aerobic test in their physical-fitness course that was worth 50 percent of the grade, according to a report in The Globe and Mail, which describes the siblings as sporty and active. The problem: A passing grade is required for graduation. The lawsuit includes a letter from the provincial ministry of education expressing “extreme concern” over using a tool to measure physical fitness that counts for half a student’s grade.
