Duke Names Senior Leadership for Its Campus in China

September 20, 2012, 2:29 pm

Duke University has appointed Liu Jingnan, former president of Wuhan University, to be  chancellor of Duke Kunshan University, and Mary Brown Bullock, former president of Agnes Scott College, to be the institution’s executive vice chancellor. Pending final “establishment” approval of the Chinese Ministry of Education, operations at the 200-acre campus are expected to start during the 2013-14 academic year. While some Duke professors have voiced concerns about the project, several programs in business and global health have already been approved to be offered at the campus.
