Chinese students say universities there need to do a better job of providing information about their curricula, professors, employment perspectives for graduates, and campus life, reports Xinhua, the official Chinese news agency. According to an online survey of about 1,900 people by China Youth Daily, more than 70 percent of respondents said higher-education institutions do not offer enough information. Instead, students often turn to personal networks, often through social media, to learn about universities.
