Universities in Canada and Africa are starting a program to help African higher education develop connections with local industries on the continent, according to a joint announcement last week by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada and the Association of African Universities. The project will create 27 new university-industry partnerships that are expected to benefit about 250 African universities. The partnership will use Canadian expertise to help develop a skilled work force to benefit African economies.
