Canadian Researcher Padded Résumé and Grant Applications With False Publications

September 19, 2011, 2:31 pm

A Canadian researcher has lost his grant money for repeatedly claiming credit for published work that was, in fact, never published, reports the Postmedia news agency. The agency will continue to support the Ph.D. students under the researcher’s supervision. The agency refused to name the person, citing Canadian privacy laws. But the decision has renewed the calls for more openness in Canadian academic fraud issues.
