The Indian School of Business has allied with three rival institutions—the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, China Europe International Business School, and Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University—to recruit more Western students, reports Bloomberg BusinessWeek magazine. Colletively, the institutions will market themselves as “Top Asia B-Schools,” their recruiters will travel together to offer joint presentations, and they will operate a Web site, Top Asia B-Schools. “Asian business schools are becoming more relevant, and there are a number of factors that make them attractive now,” including the robustness of Asian economies, Nunzio Quacquarelli, managing director of QS World MBA Tour, which connects business-school applicants with recruiters, told the magazine. He added that “the likelihood of these four schools having success in recruiting Western candidates is very high.”
