Gift to U. of Richmond Helps Athletics and Women's Education
The University of Richmond has won two grants from the Robins Foundation, campus officials announced today.
A $5-million donation will pay for the expansion of the stadium, which will seat 9,000 people and become a venue for football, lacrosse, soccer, and track.
A $3-million gift will go toward construction of the Westhampton Center project. The building will be the home of a “range of new programs and resources specially designed to meet the needs of women students,” says a news release from Richmond.
The university’s Westhampton College is for undergraduate women enrolled in the School of Arts and Sciences, the Jepson School of Leadership Studies, or the Robins School of Business.

Does anyone know if Richmond fields a women’s NCAA swim team? I am trying to place an outstanding Egyptian swimmer in a top women’s program.
