Obama 'Out of His League' With Tar Heel Basketball Players
Barack Obama’s love for basketball might be an asset for him among voters in the next two primary states, Indiana and North Carolina, which are legendary homes of hoops-crazed fans.
On the campaign trail today the Democratic presidential contender played a pick-up game with players from the University of North Carolina’s men’s basketball team, which made it to the Final Four this year.
As the Associated Press put it, Mr. Obama was a bit “out of his league.”
He failed to score any baskets. A layup attempt looked promising but rimmed out. At one point, the AP reported, he also “dished off a nifty, behind the back pass that nearly set up an assist.”
