Iowa State Students Feel the Love for Barack Obama and Ron Paul
A slight majority of college students at Iowa State University -– 58 percent — plan to participate in their state’s caucuses in early January, according to a poll of 2,185 students there.
Political analysts have recently questioned whether turnout among college students will be hampered by the timing of the state’s caucuses. They are scheduled for January 3, when most Iowa colleges are on winter break.
Among those surveyed at Iowa State, 47 percent said they were Democrats, 31 percent said they were Republicans, and the remaining 21 percent identified themselves as independents.
The most popular candidates among that collegiate crowd? Barack Obama is the first choice for Democrats at the university, followed by John Edwards.
Although Ron Paul may be lagging in national support, he is a favorite of Iowa State Republicans, garnering top marks from 27 percent of those surveyed. Mitt Romney, however, trails him closely at 24 percent.
The sample size of this survey is admittedly small, according to William F. Woodman, the professor of sociology who supervised the students’ poll. But he says the findings may still be significant.
“One way of interpreting this is that these students are going to spread out over many small precincts in Iowa where one or two votes may have a huge impact,” he says.
Full results of the survey are available here.

Ron Paul Rocks !!!
An Honest Statesman For Perilous Times.

Ron Paul is steam rolling his way to the Republican nomination. He dominates in straw polls, debate polls, fund raising, web traffic and grass roots networking. I have created a website to support this statement.
Please visit www.thecaseforronpaul.com and judge the evidence for yourself.

Don’t kid yourself, the sample size is larger than some Zogby polls.

speaking of zogby polls, did you hear about the National blind zogby poll that Ron Paul won by a large margin? the poll just went over the candidates resume, not name recognition, and Ron Paul won. Look it up!

Ron Paul beats all his opponents on every score accept the silly polls. He raises a ton more money from a ton more people. He wins the straw polls. He has huge attendances at his rallies. His web hits (Internet stats) are out the park. He has more Meet Up groups than the other candidates combined. We shouldn’t be surprised that Ron Paul is popular among students.

If you are looking for an honest politician, look no further than Mike Huckabee. He is the true grass roots, Iowa front runner and has done it with ‘word of mouth,’ integrity and the humble spirit of a true servant leader. He cares about the people of this country and that’s just who he is. Besides, if the Constitution is all that is needed to run this country, their wouldn’t be a Bill of Rights. Btw, it was Mike Huckabee that bested Ron Paul in the Iowa Straw Poll, I was there.

Huckabee’s campaign successes is impressive, if only the candidate was it’s equal. Look up Huckabee’s record on ignoring ethics rules as governor of Arkansas, and compare his talk on taxes to his his actual record.

Barack Obama is not the first choice. Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee are not going to win the race.
