Pennsylvania State U. plans a Veteran’s Plaza, paid for by the Class of 2011′s class gift, on its main campus. The plaza is designed “to be both part of the campus circulation system, as a place to pause on the way to somewhere else, and to be a special, peaceful place apart, set at the edge of the trees and somewhat removed from the daily activity around it,” according to Rachel Prinkey, project manager in the Office of Physical Plant.
