Revenge of the Squirrels at Clemson U.

September 16, 2008, 3:23 pm

Clemson University has a problem with squirrels, which have been harming the campus trees and shrubs, and are nearly as numerous as students on the campus. As part of its solution, the university has been trying to give the squirrels contraceptives to control their numbers.

But the squirrels will have their revenge. Don’t mess with the squirrels.

The Greenville News reports that a squirrel caused a campuswide power outage on Sunday morning when it crossed power lines at a campus substation. The article did not say whether the squirrel was a suicide attacker, or if it survived.

Power was restored by the afternoon.
