West Virginia University is planning to create an “interactive, exploratory” learning space for faculty members, says Sue Day-Perroots, the university’s dean of extended learning. According to a Web page for the project, the university hopes the 5,000-square-foot space will let faculty members “engage in collaborative research, explore innovative instructional applications, and test theories to advance teaching and learning.”
“We have made visits to several other spaces,” Ms. Day-Perroots says, but she’s still very interested in hearing what’s worked at other institutions. Has your institution established a successful place for faculty learning? Let us know in a comment.
