County officials are holding up Liberty University’s sale of land for a large mixed-use development, The News & Advance reports.
Residents in the area have concerns about the increase of traffic, and officials are also seeking assurances about the architectural style of the homes to be built. (Jerry Falwell Jr. said the homes would have a “rustic” look. “I think it would look in place on that mountain,” he told the News & Advance. “I think it would look good.”)
The development may also include a water park and 600,000 square feet of retail space.
