This project promotes interaction among students by focusing entrances and activities around a central outdoor space. Meanwhile, bedrooms and bathrooms are clustered around a living and study room on each floor. Groups of 34 students serve as home bases for residents and provide opportunities for friendships. Open exterior stairs provide a visual connection to the courtyard, while wood is used to signify entrances and metal windows and cement plaster provides a durable building exterior. A variety of interior colors on each floor give a unique character to each student’s home.
