Nearly three times the size of the library it replaces, the Lewis Library is intended to serve as the college’s intellectual commons. It has room for 190,000 volumes in its stacks, as well as group and private study space, classrooms, a media-production suite, a writing and tutoring center, a 24-hour study area, and a 50-seat auditorium. It earned LEED silver certification.
