Be a ‘Chronicle’ Blogger on Buildings & Grounds

April 23, 2009, 1:41 pm

People have stepped forward to volunteer for guest-blogging spots on Buildings & Grounds, but we have room for more. Our past bloggers have written about topics as diverse as campus landscapes, religious architecture, parking, carbon offsets, and ugly vending machines.

The requirements are simple:

Write anything you want, as long as it’s about campus architecture, facilities, energy, sustainability, or similar topics. Critique a new building design. Praise an innovative energy-savings strategy. Complain bitterly about the state of higher education. It’s up to you.
Write once a week — and say what you have to say in 500 words or less.
Write well. (And don’t let your PR agent write it for you. Self-promotion will not fly. See more details about that here.) If you’d rather not write, consider doing a photo blog, or brief, smart videos.

The commitment is one month. The fame and fortune that comes from such an opportunity might last forever. Contact us if you are interested.
