We are not saying that they were not the first, but we would be remiss if we didn’t point out this story: Medlar Field, the ballpark on the University Park campus of Pennsylvania State University, has gone green. It has earned a basic certification in the LEED program for installing mass-transit options, bike parking, showers for commuters, waterless urinals, and the use of recycled and local materials.
