The U.S. Senate Committee on Environment & Public Works heard testimony Thursday from three university executives on how higher education is addressing climate change. Robert Birgeneau, chancellor of the University of California at Berkeley, Jacqueline Johnson, chancellor of the University of Minnesota at Morris, and Richard C. Levin, president of Yale University, told senators about their efforts to cut greenhouse-gas emissions.

Their written testimony, along with a recording of the hearing, is available on the committee’s Web site.
