Do you know that feeling when one of the best athletes on your favorite sports team leaves to go play for another team? That’s kind of how I’ve been feeling lately. Crit was a driving force that propelled us toward success. He had a very open-door policy with both students and staff, and would not only listen to crazy ideas, but helped push them further along.

People move on, it happens. I hope we can maintain our momentum.

In other news…

…I’ve teamed up with a handful of others to work on new group blog called Designing Better Libraries. It’s not about table placement, lighting, or the number of computers you should have, but rather, is about applying design processes to improving services.

We just launched this week, so check it out. Surely you can add one more blog to your list, right?

Designing Better Libraries: exploring the application of design, innovation, and new media to create better libraries and user experiences

Oh, and by the way, if you are renovating or re-designing space, drop me an email, I’d like to learn about what you’re doing.
