Turn That Frown Upside Down and Put On an Emoticon Face

Researchers at the Digital Media Design Department at Hongik University, in Korea, have created an emoticon mask that allows the wearer to don an LED emoticon instead of a facial expression.

The mask is reportedly programmed to change expressions based on the wearer’s actions—a thoughtful pose will trigger a thoughtful-looking emoticon, for example. Check out the video below for a demonstration.—Catherine Rampell
