Tracking a Trend Toward Required Laptop Computers

Institutions like Indiana State University and the University of Wyoming are debating whether to require incoming freshmen to buy laptop computers, but a number of colleges and universities have already taken the plunge. Ray C. Brown, the director of institutional research at Westminster College, in Missouri, provides a helpful of colleges that require students to have laptop computers—including those that hand out the machines and those that ask students to purchase them.
