The Bush Library Contest: 'For an Architecture of Disconnection'

If you had planned to enter the Back-of-the-Envelope Bush Library Design Contest, you’d better get sketching. The deadline is today.
We realize that brilliant designers work under pressure, so we expect a flood of creative and compelling designs in these last few days. We haven’t been disappointed.
The library above, the product of a Canadian designer, is one of the better entries we’ve gotten lately. Under a title that says “For an Architecture of Disconnection,“ the designer has created a boxy structure with no windows and a large atrium in the middle. It is a library that has walled off the outside world.
Send us your designs of disconnection, of dysfunction, of desperation. Or send us something happier. The best design, as judged by our readers, could win an iPod Touch. Here are the rules.
