Temple U. Resolves $175-Million Dispute With Pennsylvania Lawmakers
Temple University appears to have worked out its differences with Pennsylvania lawmakers who, angered at the university's decision to close a money-losing hospital, had blocked $175-million in state funds for Temple, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported today. Temple had predicted that, if the money were not forthcoming, it could be forced to raise tuition by $5,000.
