Taking Care of Spitzer's Needs

Yes, I must go begin the 14-hour food-fest that marks every holiday in my life (including Arbor Day and Flag Day), but I couldn’t resist telling you about the article appearing in today’s Philadelphia Inquirer titled “It’s Not About Mrs. Spitzer’s Hips Or I.Q., But His Character.”

I have no shame. I wrote it, and it’s funny (like Larry the Cable Guy says, “I don’t care who you are, that’s funny”) and I’m already getting hate-e-mails from Philly readers who think Silda should have “really taken care of her husband’s needs because he was probably a tense man” and applause from those readers who do like it (and whose own needs are being met, I suspect, which frees them up to laugh).

So have a indulgent day, however you define indulgent, and let me know what you think of the “Spitzer/call girl/shouldn’t Mrs. Spitzer start dating soon” piece. It’s different from what I write for Brainstorm, although I’m not really sure I could tell you why.
