Subcommittee Urges Reprimand for N.Y. Congressman

A subcommittee of the House ethics committee investigating U.S. Rep. Charles B. Rangel, a New York Democrat, suggested a reprimand rather than an ouster on Friday, and the congressman is defending his actions, The New York Times reported. Mr. Rangel, who is 80,  faces ethics charges for, among other things, doing a political favor for a donor to the City University of New York. The donor's gift financed a center bearing the representative's name. In an interview aired Friday night on CBS, President Obama said Representative Rangel had "served his constituents very well" but suggested he should "end his career with dignity," according to Politico.

Rangel is the epitome of filthy political opportunist. Always playing the racial margin card, he reached his political prominence by virtue of out-living his political challengers. When he wasn't playing the generic negro card, he was a "latino", then he was a "hispanic", then he was a "person of color". Now he's just what he has always been...a political tramp on the take to the highest bidder. His district is long aware of this charlatan and his unscrupulous backdoor shenanigans. Not to worry...if he doesn't get to keep the center for all of his "papers", his devastated communities filled with block after block of tenements, slums and illegally opened fire hydrants should serve as "tribute" enough to this maggot. As for Obama's feeble swan song to "Charlie"...can we really expect anything more from the biggest political hooker of our time? Dignity? I really need to look that word up in the dictionary. Neither of the pictures will be there.

Adam Clayton Powell redux. Let's not forget that Pelosi promised to drain the swamp. Now she claims to be out of the loop. When do we get term limits?
