Pornographers or Good Students?

When a pair of students at the University of Central Oklahoma showed up at the campus computing center every night for a week, allegedly viewing images of naked women, the university’s lab monitor faced a tough question: Were the students downloading pornography or just doing research for a course?

Wesley Powell, the lab monitor, said he suspected the students were just studying for a drawing class that involves nude models. But he still reported the students’ activity to campus police, who took a dimmer view of the situation. Officers arrested the pair and charged them with misdemeanors, arguing that they weren’t even students at the university, but the charges have now been dropped. (The Vista)
