Polytechnic Campus of Arizona State U. Plans 11 Buildings

Arizona State University’s Polytechnic Campus — a former military base that the university took over in 1996 — will get 255,000 square feet of new academic space in a $66-million project set for groundbreaking in October.
The new construction will create 11 buildings arranged in three pods, according to Southwest Contractor.
The first of the three pods, comprising three main buildings, a lecture hall, and a black-box theater, is due to be completed in 2008. At left is a rendering of one of the three main buildings, Santan Hall.

I saw the piece that you did based on information from Southwest Contractor and the information in it was inaccurate.
ASU has three complexes, with a total of five buildings, not 11, being constructed. The project broke ground in late fall 2006 and the cost of the project is $103-million. Also, the new space will be 240,000 square feet, and as you mentioned is expected to be completed by August 2008, ready for fall semester.
