Ohlone College Tunes In

Several well-known institutions—including Stanford University and the University of Michigan—are among the first crop of colleges to test-drive iTunes University, Apple’s attempt to turn its online music store into an educational force. But some lesser-known names, like Ohlone College, in California, are also eager to try out the service.

Ohlone has announced that it will post course lectures and other instructional content to iTunes starting in September. Campus officials hope that the coursecasting project will help the college—which has about 12,000 students—quickly expand its roster of distance-education offerings. (San Mateo County Times)
